My Awards

Over the years I have won many national and international awards for both my direct marketing campaigns and my direct mail copywriting.
These include numerous 'Best of America' Echo Awards, Echo Leader Awards and certificates of creative recognition. These were awarded by the Direct Marketing Association of America (DMA).
I also have many of 'Best of Europe' awards to my credit and these include Golds, Silvers, Bronzes, plus my favourite: a special Gold Award for the best low-budget campaign in Europe. These were awarded by FEDMA, the Federation of European Direct Marketing Associations.
In addition, I have many Irish Direct Marketing Association (IDMA) awards as well... Gold's, Silver's, Bronze's, plus special awards for creative copywriting. I've also won at the An Post Direct marketing awards.
As well as winning awards I have been invited on a number of occasions to be an adjudicator for both 'Best of Europe' Awards, the IDMA Awards for Excellence, the An Post direct marketing awards and others.
So you could say, I'm an international award winning copywriter and adjudicator.
But, to be honest, you don't win international awards on your own. You win them because you have clients who have the confidence, vision and foresight to trust you to know your 'craft' well enough to come up with a solidly workable solution for their requirements.
So, I guess, I'm not an award winning copywriter at all. I'm a copywriter that has been lucky enough to strike solid gold with so many clients and good friends that I work with.
Gold Award Winner 2006
At the An Post Direct Marketing Awards 2006, I struck Gold with a simple, and very effective, fundraising appeal for UNICEF (Ireland). The campaign was titled:
"If we hand them money somebody will steal it from them"
Gold Award Winner in the Charity not-for-profit category
An Post Direct Marketing Awards 2006
It was the winner of the gold award in the Charity not-for-profit category.
